Films is the production company of Kelly Anderson and Tami
Gold, both professors
in the Department of Film & Media
Studies at Hunter College (CUNY). Their production work includes
OUT AT WORK:
Lesbians
and Gay Men on the Job, which premiered at the Sundance Film
Festival and was remade for broadcast on HBO
MAKING
A KILLING and OVERCOMING
THE ODDS,
two documentaries about the tobacco industry's efforts to build
their customer base by targeting children around the world; ANOTHER
BROTHER,
a
documentary portraitof an African-American Vietnam veteran.

Their most recent documentary is EVERY
MOTHER'S SON,
about three mothers in New York City whose children have been
killed by police and who transform their grief into an opportunity
for profound social change. Their work has been nationally broadcast
on PBS and has screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, the New
York Film Festival and has won many awards throughout the world.
Through their films and supporting web sites, AndersonGold Films
seeks to broaden and deepen discussion and awareness about the
critical issues affecting diverse communities throughout the
world. |
